NetBuddy app terms

These terms explain how NetBuddy accounts, free and paid features, files, e-signatures, AI document tools, storage, and login cookies work.

Effective date: June 20, 2026

By creating an account, uploading files, processing documents, using AI document tools, sending signature requests, or using paid features, you agree to these terms.

1. Using NetBuddy

NetBuddy provides PDF tools, image tools, e-signature workflows, AI document assistance, storage, dashboard history, and related account features. You may use the service only for files and content that you own, control, or have permission to process.

2. Accounts and email verification

Some tools require an account. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. We may require email verification before uploads, downloads, e-signature workflows, paid features, or AI tools are available. Accounts that are unverified, suspicious, abusive, or inactive may be limited, paused, suspended, or removed.

3. Free users

Free accounts may use supported tools within the limits shown in the app. Free results are temporary, may expire automatically, may include platform notices or advertisements, and may not include private long-term storage, batch processing, AI credits, or paid-only e-signature features. When a free account reaches a usage, file-size, job, storage, or feature limit, the app may ask the user to upgrade.

4. Paid users

Paid accounts receive the paid features and limits shown on the pricing page or account dashboard, including private storage and supported Pro features. Paid features are subject to fair-use rules, technical limits, security checks, and payment status. If payment fails, is cancelled, refunded, disputed, or expires, the account may be downgraded to Free rather than deleted.

5. Files, ownership, and storage

You keep ownership of the files and content you upload. You grant NetBuddy the limited permission needed to upload, process, convert, sign, store, display, and deliver your files as requested by you. Temporary files may be automatically deleted. Paid private files are stored in protected cloud infrastructure and are intended to be accessible only to the account owner or authorized workflow participants.

6. Data protection

NetBuddy uses access controls, private storage, server-side processing, signed download links, account ownership checks, and operational safeguards to protect uploaded files. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You should not upload files you are not allowed to process or files requiring security controls beyond those offered by NetBuddy.

7. Cookies and trusted login

NetBuddy uses cookies and browser storage for login, security, dashboard state, trusted-device recognition, and normal app operation. After a successful login verification, a trusted browser may be remembered for up to 15 days so you do not need to enter an email login code every time. Logging out removes the active session, but the trusted-browser record may remain until it expires or is cleared from the browser.

8. E-signatures

NetBuddy e-signature tools are designed for document signing workflows, recipient verification, audit records, timestamps, and signed document delivery. You are responsible for deciding whether electronic signatures are suitable for your document, jurisdiction, organization, and transaction. NetBuddy does not provide legal advice about enforceability.

9. AI document tools and legal drafts

AI document tools can help draft, summarize, rewrite, check grammar, or prepare document text. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a specific legal or business purpose. Legal templates, legal drafts, and country or state-aware documents are drafting aids only and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before use.

10. Prohibited use

You must not use NetBuddy for illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, spam, malware, abusive automation, unauthorized document processing, privacy violations, or attempts to bypass security, limits, payments, authentication, or storage controls.

11. Payments and invoices

Paid plan pricing, billing cycles, invoices, and payment status are shown in the app when payment features are active. Taxes, gateway fees, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and failed payments may be handled according to the active payment provider and NetBuddy account rules at that time.

12. Availability and backups

We work to keep NetBuddy available, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, security work, provider outages, backups, or unexpected incidents. Users should keep their own copies of important files, signed documents, certificates, and exported results.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as NetBuddy changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes may be announced in the app, by email, or through account notices where appropriate.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms, account access, paid plans, data requests, or support matters can be sent to contact@netbuddy.ai.
